BURIAL OF MARLENE TERRY
Marlene Terry, 87 of Gustine, California passed away on April 9, 2026 at Modesto, California.
Mrs. Terry was born in Merced, California and was an active member of Gustine Senior Citizens Club and the Orestimba 50 Plus Club. She enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening, decorating her home for the holidays, traveling, playing cards, bingo, and bonco.
Marlene is survived by her son, Anthony (Candice) Terry and daughters, Juanita Terry (Jay) Cisneroz and Kelly Terry (Tony) Xavier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward D. Terry; her parents, Arnold and Marie Freitas and her brother, Sam Freitas.
A Visitation will be held at 9:00am to 10:30am, followed by a Rosary and Mass at 10:30am on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at The Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine, California. Interment to follow at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman, California.
BURIAL OF DEBBIE HAMILTON
Debra Ann Spinelli Hamilton, age 72, of Modesto, CA passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026 after a courageous battle with ALS. Debbie was the youngest of six children born to Angelo and Elsie Spinelli on March 4, 1954 in Patterson, CA. Raised in Gustine, CA she attended Our Lady of Miracles Catholic School and graduated from Gustine High School. She earned her Associate’s Degree from Modesto Jr College after which she began her 35-year career with Stanislaus County, starting at Municipal Court, moving thru the Purchasing and Public Works departments to retiring as a Commission Clerk-Confidentiality Secretary for Stanislaus LAFCO.
Debbie was devout in her Faith first and foremost and her belief in God’s Promises gave her strength to meet each day. She was strong, yet her heart was gentle and generous. Debbie enjoyed traveling, playing softball in her former years for Stan County, gardening, get-togethers with friends and family especially with her siblings, nieces and nephews, as well as attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. She was also a dedicated supporter to many charities, one being Relay for Life, as she was a two-time cancer survivor.
She is survived by her daughter, Janeé Quintanar (Rafael/Jr) of Riverbank; daughter-in-law, Lisa Hamilton of Modesto; four grandchildren, Karina, Natalie and Isaac Quintanar and Tannon Hamilton; her sisters, JoAnn (Don) Lundell, Janet (Joe) Gomes, Nancy (Philbert) Lawrence all of Hilmar, Betty Petersen of Newman and her brother, Larry (Jeanne) Spinelli of Hilmar, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ian Hamilton and her parents, Angelo and Elsie Spinelli.
A Visitation will be on Monday, April 20, 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson followed by a Rosary at 6:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles Church in Gustine. Interment will follow at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman. BURIAL OF GREG GOMES
Gregory Louis Gomes entered Heaven on March 18, 2026, with his loved ones at his side. Greg was born on July 5, 1953, at Del Puerto Hospital in Patterson, CA to his parents Nelson and Diolinda Gomes. Greg was the middle child, number 7 of 13 children.
Greg was a man of deep faith for the Lord and steadfast devotion to His word. Throughout his years, Greg started and ended everyday by thanking the Lord for his blessings. He had endless love for family and friends and went to deep lengths to share his love, compassion and friendship with others. Greg took immense pride in caring for people and helping others as he was truly a Steward of the Lord with unwavering faith.
Greg had a passion for hunting as it truly brought him peace and happiness. He will always be remembered for not only his love of hunting but for sharing that passion with so many others. He was lucky enough to hunt all over the world with his father, brothers, friends, wife, children, grandchildren and nephews.
Greg retired from the Sheetmetal Workers' Union after 25 plus years. Retirement allowed Greg more time with family and friends, as well as hunting, traveling, gardening, and other creative hobbies.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents Nelson and Diolinda Gomes and brother Richard Gomes. He is survived by his loving wife Debbie Gomes; children Tiffany (Matt) Asbill and Brandon (Apphia) Gomes; two amazing grandchildren Charlotte and Cameron Gomes; siblings Linda (Dexter) Cook, George Gomes, Leonard Gomes, Nelson (Lorna) Gomes, Ron (Susan) Gomes, Mary Pena, Theresa (Bill) Bryant, Donald Gomes, Donna (Vance) Wolfsen, Cece (Chuck) Glenn, Dennis (Christie) Gomes.
A Rosary/Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, March 30th, at Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles Church in Gustine. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Greg to OLM School, American Cancer Society, or your favorite charity.
